SOVEREIGN AI ON CODESPHERE TECHNOLOGY

Providing Cutting-Edge AI Technology to the Government

In addition to developing new AI services, the BMDS AI platform will support existing AI-based government processes such as 'KIPITZ' for document processing.

The solution offers strict security standards and adherence to sovereignty principles:

The BMDS AI platform operates under full German control. 'BYOK' (Bring Your Own Key) principles provide government agencies with sole control over encryption keys. Furthermore, a 'Zero Trust' architecture based on the default-deny principle excludes access from third countries.

Another key element of sovereignty is the focus on open-source technologies and on interoperability prevent vendor lock-in.

The stack runs on BSI-certified StackIT (Schwarz Digits) infrastructure with Codesphere's partner SVA managing the platform architecture and governance.

Technology Highlight: Codesphere Cold Starts

Codesphere's patented "cold start" technology can reduce the compute resource costs  by up to 90%.

The feature incorporates a shared resource pool that limits the need for vast dedicated, costly GPU (or CPU) infrastructure. Compute resources are allocated to workloads at incoming requests and services become available almost instantaneously.
